Bio
I was born in Veszprém in Hungary in 1981.After graduating from Art High School I moved to London and spent the last 10 years back and forth between the two countries. I have studied Economics in Hungary as well as graduated in Creative Advertising and Photography in London. Finishing with a distinction won me a scholarship to the MA in Photography, that I am currently undertaking.
Statement:
My visual practice is a conceptual investment in the construction of the self, an autobiographical questioning of sexuality and gender roles and the shaping of identity.
I am interested in portraying the internal struggle within the polarities of the personality to deconstruct the identity that is formed by the conscious and unconscious.
I articulate these through preconceived, previsualized ideas to depict the multiplicity of the inner self, weather that is regards to gender, sexual, power relations, or other social influences.
Using photography as a tool of critical distancing that allows perspective to these internal debates.
